DAP perintah Malaysia?
PUTRAJAYA, April 2 (Bernama) -- DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang should be the chairman of Pakatan Harapan in view of DAP being the biggest party in the opposition pact, said UMNO Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said if Lim appointed a Malay to the post, it was clear that it was a ploy to influence Malay voters to support the pact.
"Lim Kit Siang should not try to belittle and deceive the Malays from the reality that Pakatan Harapan is controlled and owned by DAP.
"We all know that DAP is a Chinese-dominated party and Lim Kit Siang has never given space to the Malays," he said in a statement, here, today.
Ismail Sabri, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, also said that Lim should hold the post of Pakatan Harapan chairman if he wanted to prove that it was not an 'Ali Baba' pact.
He said the Malays should realise that Lim wanted Malay votes as the stepping stone to take over Putrajaya.
Pakatan Harapan comprising DAP, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) had reportedly submitted its application for official registration to the Registrar of Societies.
Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were announced as advisers in the pro-tem Pakatan Harapan panel with who would be holding the post of chairman still a mystery.
